Embark on a soul-enriching 5-day journey tracing the sacred footsteps of Lord Buddha — From his enlightenment in Bodhgaya to his Mahaparinirvana in Kushinagar and the spiritual aura of Varanasi. Witness iconic sites, ancient caves, serene temples and the timeless Ganges — All in one deeply moving pilgrimage.
DAY 1: ARRIVE GAYA — TRANSFER TO BODHGAYA
• Upon arrival at Bodh Gaya International Airport, you will be met and greeted by our representative.
• Transfer to your hotel in Bodhgaya for check-in.
• Enjoy lunch at the hotel.
• In the afternoon, visit the Mahabodhi Temple and the sacred Bodhi Tree, the site of Lord Buddha’s enlightenment.
• Return to the hotel.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
DAY 2: BODHGAYA — EXCURSION TO DUNGESHWARI CAVES — BODHGAYA
• After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Dungeshwari Caves.
• These caves are believed to be where Lord Buddha practiced severe asceticism.
• Visit the cave shrine featuring a golden emaciated statue of the Fasting Buddha, symbolizing his period of penance.
• Another cave houses a 6-foot-tall statue of Lord Buddha.
• Return to the hotel.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Bodhgaya.
DAY 3: BODHGAYA — VAISHALI — KUSHINAGAR
• Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then depart for Kushinagar.
• En route, stop at Vaishali to visit the Ashokan Pillar and the Relic Stupa.
• Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
• Continue the drive to Kushinagar and check in at your hotel.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Kushinagar.
DAY 4: KUSHINAGAR — VARANASI
• After breakfast, visit:
• The Mahaparinirvana Temple, marking the place of Buddha's passing.
• The Rambhar Stupa, believed to be the site of his cremation.
• Proceed to Varanasi.
• Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and check in.
• Later, visit the Sarnath Museum (Closed on Fridays).
• Dinner and overnight stay in Varanasi.
DAY 5: VARANASI — DEPARTURE
• Early morning boat ride on the River Ganges to witness the spiritual sunrise.
• Visit the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
• Return to the hotel for breakfast.
• After lunch (or with packed lunch), transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
